Matt has spent most of his career as a personal trainer, performance coach and nutrition coach. He has worked with a large variety of clients from professional athletes to the average person looking to better their health. Matt’s passion for health and fitness started at a young age, he continues to educate himself on the most up to date industry knowledge. He prefers strength training but understands the importance of conditioning and will reluctantly do a half-marathon occasionally, to keep himself honest! If you see him working out in the club, never hesitate to stop and ask him a question.
Philosophy
Matt begins his first client session establishing common ground about health and fitness. “There is too much information available today, and it is leaving people confused and needing more guidance on how to achieve healthy, feasible goals.” His approach is simple. Matt believes, “the best exercise is the one you enjoy, and the best diet is the one you will follow. A
good coach will help identify both and work with you to build habits that will lead to long-term success.” Matt’s goal is to educate his clients on what a healthy lifestyle feels like, giving them the tools to take control.
About Me
Matt grew up in Walpole and attended Providence College where he was a member of the men’s Rugby team. He got his first personal training job at the Vanderbilt Club in 2014 and he is excited to be back. During his free time in the summer, Matt is likely relaxing on a boat down the Cape.
