Robin Ostrander

  • Swim Program Manager
  • Swim Instructor

Safety is paramount when it comes to children and water. As the Program Manager, a swim instructor and mother, Robin is passionate about teaching children the skills necessary for water safety and survival as well as swim proficiency. Under her leadership, Robin incorporated self-rescue skills in all levels of the Club’s swim program. Additionally, Robin is committed to making good class fits so each child feels comfortable and in control of their learning and can master survival/swim skills. Whether learning to swim for recreation or sport, we will successfully help your child grow in both confidence and skill. We look forward to welcoming you to the pool!

About Me:

Once an avid runner, a serious knee injury sidelined Robin’s training for her first marathon. Her rehab program consisted of countless laps in the Vanderbilt pool. “The pool is my “happy place, and I adore teaching children and adults a lifelong skill in the place I love.” Robin has been at the Vanderbilt Club for over 20 years. She lives in Westwood with her husband and dog and enjoys vacationing in South Carolina. Though Robin spends a lot of time in the water, you can always reach her by email at swim@vanderbiltclub.com. She is quick to respond!
