Frank Carey
Frank has gone from crunching numbers to crunching abs! After a thirty-year career in accounting and banking, holding management positions at Jordan Marsh Company and Bank of America, Frank enrolled in the National Personal Trainer Institute and became a certified personal trainer. The program provided hands-on exercise training as well as anatomy and nutrition classes. In 2010 Frank joined the Vanderbilt Club Personal Training team and began building his clientele. He describes his life as a series of learning experiences. Each phase has a purpose along with an end goal. His mindset has always been “okay, I accomplished this, what’s next?” Frank uses this same philosophy with his clients, motivating and inspiring them to achieve their own personal fitness goals. With more than a decade of training experience, Frank understands that every client has a story to tell. He takes the time to listen, build connections, and develop a program tailored to his client’s goals, fitness level, and limitations. Frank will challenge you, teach you, and make you laugh. He will help you become stronger and healthier. Frank is available to train Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday mornings.
Philosophy
Inspired by the words of Clint Eastwood: “Don’t let the old man in.” Frank’s fitness philosophy is a holistic one: exercise, keep moving, eat well, get enough sleep, and enjoy plenty of natural sunlight. He follows a Mediterranean-style diet rich in fish, leafy greens, and vegetables proving that healthy living doesn’t have to be complicated.
