Marty Nee

Health and fitness have been a lifelong passion for Marty. He started weightlifting in his twenties which led to a deep and lasting commitment to training and physical performance. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Marty served three years in active duty. The Navy demanded physical readiness, discipline, and a team-first mindset; qualities Marty embraced. Intense training and time in the gym were daily requirements. Marty’s strength training background made him the ideal choice to manage the base fitness center while deployed in Cuba. He guided service members on proper lifting form, building muscle mass and achieving results. The experience strengthened his leadership skills and deepened his passion for helping others accomplish what they thought was unattainable. After a 20-year career with the MBTA, Marty made a welcome career change from Track Supervisor to private personal trainer. In 2011 he joined Pro Fitness in Waltham where he helped clients rehab from injuries and resume regular activities. In 2025, Marty joined the Vanderbilt Club, bringing two decades of personal training experience to the community. Marty’s clients range from beginners to advanced athletes. His results driven approach will help you move confidently toward your goals.
